Once Upon A Time

Sunday morning arrived.  The family members awaken one by one.  Elizabeth is making breakfast in the kitchen and George is reading the Sunday paper.  The kids are slowly getting up from bed and washing up so they can start their Sunday morning.  Elizabeth pours a cup of coffee and gives it to George, then she pours a cup of coffee for herself and sits for a bit to enjoy her coffee.  George is very attentive with the news on the newspaper, so she decides to quietly enjoy her cup of coffee and checks out the Sunday sales on the newspaper.  The morning seemed quiet and so serene.  Meanwhile the kids are getting ready in their bedrooms and they are moving things around their bedroom to find their clothes, socks and underwear.  James was unable to find an item that he was looking in his bedroom, so he goes to the bedroom where it used to be his parents bedroom, he was looking for a special sweatshirt that was given to him by his parents before they passed away.  James opens the closet doors and searches in the closet.  He notices there is a black safety box on top of the shelf.  He brings it down to check what's in it, but he cannot open it.  It is locked.  He places the black safety box on the bed side and goes back to search for his sweat shirt.  He finds his sweat shirt and puts it on.  He then carried the black box to the direction where Tamara's bedroom is and knocks at her door.  "Tamara, can I come in?, he asked.  Tamara, tells him to wait for a moment, and he waits there patiently.  "Tamara then replies, "James it's open, come on in".  "Tamara, I found this black box on top of Mom's and Dad's closet, have you seen this black box before?, "No", Tamara replied.  "No, what's in it? she asked.  "I don't know, I don't know, replied James. "Can you open it? asked Tamara.  "No, it's locked", answered James.  "Let me try it", said Tamara.  So Tamara tried, and sure enough it was locked.  "who has the key for the black box?", asked Tamara, "Don't really know", said James. "Let's go downstairs and asked George and Elizabeth to see if they know about the black box and the whereabouts on the key", said James.
So, they both go downstairs while James is carrying the black box in his hands.  "Aunt Elizabeth, have you seen this black box before?", asked James, "No, where did you get the black box from?", she asked. "I found it inside my parent's closet, on top of the shelf", he answered. George also looked at it, and said, "I wonder what's in it", "lets look and see".  He tried to open the box but it was locked.  "Where is they key?", asked George. "That's it, I don't know where the key is", "Tamara and I don't know where the key is", replied James." Elizabeth looks at the box with curiosity and decides that she was going to look for the key.  "I will find the key", "you guys leave that to me", "I will look for the key", she tells them.  George then goes back to reading the newspaper and the children get distracted and start eating their breakfast on their table.  Elizabeth gets her breakfast and starts joining them too.  Meanwhile, the black box is left near their side, and they go on to another conversation.  Sebastain and Joanna appear in the kitchen, and Sebastian sees the black box next to them, he becomes excited and tells Joanna, "they found the box", "they found the box!", "Look, it's on the table, on their side", "Yeah, now we are cooking", said Sebastian.  "Yeah, they did", replied Joanna.  "Why are they ignoring the box?" asked Joanna. "I don't know." answered Sebastian.  "They should have opened the box by now, don't you think so?", asked Sebastian. "Yeah, I would certainly think so, replied Joanna.  "Maybe, they already opened it, and they already seen what's in it", she said. There goes my surprise", said Sebastian. "Maybe not", replied Joanna. "If they would have opened it, they would not be concentrated on their breakfast, they would probably be talking about the content on that box, since you said that it was a surprise for the kids, assuming that it is a surprise, and it may be an exciting surprise for them, they would be more into the box, then their breakfast", explained Joanna.  "Maybe, Maybe", you are right but only for this time, said Sebastian.  "After breakfast, I will look for the key", said Elizabeth", Joanna looks at Sebastian, and tells him, "You see, they have to find the key, so they have not opened the box", "they need a key to open the box". "Do you know where the key is?", asked Joanna.  "No, I don't think so", "I don't remember where the key is"  "I know it's in our bedroom, but I really can't remember where I put the key the last time." "Think, Think" replied Joanna.  "Darn, I can't remember", replied Sebastian.
Meanwhile, all the members of the household get ready to go to Sunday Church.  They all leave the house, and now the house is so empty without them and so quiet.  Sebastian and Joanna are now looking for the key and search all over the house for that key, but can't find it.  They tried their luck with their hands, and doors open and close, and dressers open and close and drawers open and close, but they can't seem to find the key anywhere, "where is that key", said Sebastian, "where did I placed the key", "Only you would know, Sebastian", "you need to think harder and calm down, othewise you are not going to find that key". "Calm down a little, sit down and think on where you placed that key." advised Joanna.  Sebastian sits and starts thinking, but he still feels frustrated and does not allow himself to calm down.  Joanna just keeps looking on her own, but she can't find anything and decides to just give it a rest.

Weather

The weather is colder now, but it's nice.  Wherever you are stay warm.  Have a great day.

Do you have a best friend?

Do you have a best friend?  The answer is "Yes"  You are the best friend.  Believe in yourself.  Have confidence in yourself.  Take action, positive action.  Keep going forward, and allow no one to discourage you.  You are are your best friend.  Take care of yourself, so then you can take care of others in a good way.  Life is too short, enjoy your life and enjoy others company, but in a good way.  Learn each day, even if its five minutes of your time.  The harder you practice, the easier it gets.  Don't compare yourself to others.  Each of us are unique and special, we all have talents.  This talents were given to us the minute we were born. We are all  handsome or beautiful because we are unique.  There is beauty within us, and all of us have qualities, so please don't compare yourself to anyone, because you are already handsome or beautiful and you have special talents, you just need to look within and find them, they are there.  Take time  to check and you will find them.  Have a great day, and remember to smile, laugh and enjoy life each day.  Life is not guaranteed, and therefore you should always enjoy the moment and each day you are here.  It's a gift and a blessing to you.  You will succeed and you will go forward, just remember, you are your best friend.  It is nice to have friends outside your life, but at the end, you must believe and depend upon yourself to go forward and make a difference in your life.  You are your best friend.  Treat yourself, embrace yourself, pamper yourself, eat a nice meal, whatever you do that makes you happy in a positive way, do it and be a friend to yourself.

Practice

Whatever you are practicing, assuming that it is a positive move towards your success, your goal or just a hobby that will make you happy, keep on practicing, you can do it.  It may be awkward at first, but just keep on trying, tolerate the awkwardness and keep on practicing you will succeed; it may take 6 months, a year or six years, but if you practice, you will achieve it.  Don't give up, keep working at it until you achieve your goal or your dream, don't let anyone discourage you.  You know what dreams you have and you can reach them.  Lots of love and May God Bless You.  I know you can do it.

Once Upon A Time

Sebastian and Joanna decided to keep on looking.  Though Joanna had no idea what she's looking for.
Sebastian tells her that he is sure it was there on that desk, but it seemed like it was moved from the area that was previously placed.  It's a box and in that box there is something that is so valuable for my children, explained Sebastian to Joanna. "Ok, replied, Joanna, "why don't you tell me what it is, since I can't benefit from it now that I am no longer alive". "If I tell you," replied Sebastian,"then it will not be a surprise for you, and even though you are no longer alive, you will pleasantly be surprised and very proud of me". "I still want to surprise you with it, even though there is not much there for you, but you will be pleasantly pleased with what I have in that box". " I know it's inside that dresser, though at one time, it was on the top of that desk.  However, it was moved before I passed away, I just noticed but I didn't think nothing of it.  I just thought I could come back and look inside and find it inside and find another place for it later".  "As you see, it just didn't quite happen that way," replied Sebastian.

Joanna then started to use her specific powers too, but they were too weak.  She needed practice too.  Everyone in the household were quietly watching a movie, while Joanna kept trying her luck in the upstairs bedroom.  "No results"? asked Sebastian, "None", said Joanna.  Sebastian decided to just give it a rest and so he told Joanna to just chill and follow him to the next room.  Joanna followed and both Sebastian and Joanna sat in the living room watching the movie with the rest of the family.

The next day, the family was getting ready for a camping trip.  It was now Saturday, and everyone was going different directions to get their gear ready for camping.  Sebastian looked and realized that, that was not a good thing. Joanna laughed at Sebastain and said, "Sebastian, just let them go, they need to go and enjoy themselves, now don't spoil the fun for them".  Sebastian had this baby frown on his face and looked at Joanna with those baby blue eyes, and said, "Ok", but we will follow them".  There is not much to be done here, everyone is going to be out, we might as well be out there too".  "I agree", said Joanna.  So, everyone packed their camping gear and got in their car.  Joanna and Sebastian joined them, and watched their happy faces while on the road.  Everyone seemed to be smiling and looking forward for their camping trip, even the dog.
As they arrived to their destination, everyone was eagerly taken down their camping gear to get started.  The kids were particularly eager and anxious to get started.  The both of them hurried to get the tent and try to put up with it.  It was large and bulky, and the tent kept falling back down each time they tried to lift it up, the camping tent was not cooperating with them, so their uncle- in- law came to the rescue, and helped with the tent.  It was heavy and bulky.  "Thanks", Uncle George", they both said at the same time.  "You're Welcome", replied Uncle George.  The camp seemed to have something for everyone on the premises.  There was a real nice man made lake to go fishing, and there was a court to play volleyball, and there was also a place to barbecue,  and not to far was a gift shop.  The kids went into their tent and started to add their blankets and water inside.  They both found their place in the tent.  Uncle George and his wife they started to make preparations for the barbecue.  While his wife was cutting and chopping the vegetables, he was cutting and chopping the meat, and was watching the fire in the barbecue pit to see if it was nearly ready to fire up the meat and start cooking.  Meanwhile the dog was just resting and watching everyone work at the camp.

Joanna and Sebastian walked towards the fishing lake.  They were amazed on how many fishes there were and their variety.  The colors were amazing on each fish.  The only regret they had was that they were unable to hold a fishing pole.  Then they walked around the camp and enjoyed the various colored leaves on the trees, something they did not do while they were alive because they were so busy with their careers.  It seemed to be serene and so peaceful.  It was very nice to just feel the wind blow on your face and hear the birds sing various songs and watch them fly up towards the blue sky.  To see the small creatures crawling on the ground and going to their own destination or looking for food and working together to find their food, and then crawl back inside their hole or into the water.  To look up and see the sun shining and the mountains with color and precise clarity.  No smog on that day.  A beautiful day, that even the dead appreciated.  Joanna and Sebastian went back to the camp to see what was happening.  Their daughter was getting the wooden table ready for the picnic and their son was bringing out the water and the drinks.  Brother-in-Law was still cooking up a storm and listening to his favorite music on the radio.  Sister was helping her niece with the paper plates, napkins and cups.  All seemed to be working together.  The dog was smelling the meat, and now he was getting closer to the source, but in a very discreet way.  Slowly, very slowly. 
Brother- in-Law yelled at the team, and told them, "The food is ready, come and get it".  So, everyone grabbed their paper plate and grabbed their favorite piece of meat.  The salad was already on the table to take.  "It smells good", said Elizabeth, "it sure does", said George.  They all sat and had their picnic and enjoy each others company.  Joanna and Sebastian just watched and looked towards the mountains, they waited patiently to see what was coming next.  After everyone ate, the family decided to get together with their fishing poles and try their luck with fishing in the lake.  Everyone appeared to have experience in the fishing game.  George was doing well, his wife and the children appeared to know what they were doing.  Suddenly, Elizabeth screams and screams, and everyone got startled, "what's wrong Elizabeth?", asked George, "I think I have something, it's real heavy, it's real heavy", she kept saying.  "George come and help me, hurry, 'it's real heavy," So, George runs quickly towards her and grabs part of the fishing pole to help her with the weight of the fishing pole, and he brings it up and she brings it up and it falls, right back in, and he tries again, and she is huffing and puffing and she pulls up and he pulls too, and they both keep working on it, and as hard as it was, they gradually pull it up, and they look at it, and can't quite figure it out what they brought back up, "what is it? asked his wife, "don't know" said George.  He looked at it closely and the kids looked at it closely, and all four of them were puzzled.  Sebastian and Joanna wanted to know too, so they looked at it closely and wondered what the hell it was.  As they started to untangled the whole mess, they realized that it was a tangled shoe, that was so old, that it had rusty shoe lace and debris all over it, the shoe was more like a working boot, but it must have been there for decades, Elizabeth was disappointed, but the rest of the crew had a good laugh.  "Volleyball anyone," asked George.  Everyone went back to the camp and decided to change the phase a little.  The kids were more than ready to play volleyball, and George and Elizabeth wanted to please them, so they joined in the game.  Both George and Elizabeth were rusty for it had been years since they played volleyball, but they were participating and having fun with the kids, even the dog joined in to play.  He would run and fetch the volleyball when the volleyball stray to different directions.  Sebastian and Joanna were the cheer leading squad, even though they weren't being heard, but they didn't seem to mind.  The crew was now slowing down, and so they decided to start packing their things in their car.  It was getting late, and they wanted to get home before it got really dark and busy on the freeway.  Everyone looked tired and some were sleeping in the car.  Sebastian was a happy camper because he was going back home.  Elizabeth was pretty much asleep in the car and the kids, well, they too were falling asleep.  George had to stay alert, he was the driver.  The dog was fast asleep and snoring away too.  Joanna was staring at the sky and looking at all the houses as Geroge passed them by.  Finally, they arrived and everyone but George went straight to the couch and chilled.  They were all tired. George went straight to the shower to clean up. The gear was left behind for Sunday.  No one wanted to tackle the gear until the next day. 
Meanwhile Sebastian went back up stairs and tried his luck again, but he just kept opening and closing drawers instantly, they wouldn't stay opened.  Joanna tried her luck, but in her case nothing opened or closed.
Sebastian was getting a little upset now, and Joanna was getting very upset, because she was not making any progress there.  Joanna was throwing a fit and Sebastian calmed her down.  "All within time", he said, "All within  time".  "Let's go, it's time for us, to just chill for a while", said Sebastian. "Sunday will come, and we will see how we can manage our situation and problem when Sunday arises,"he said .  Everyone went to their designated bedrooms and fell asleep, while Sebastian and Joanna were trying to think things over, on how and who to work with, so they can get that small box out of there and open it.

Life is about Expansion and Growth

Always keep on striving to learn a positive skill, go to school, to a seminar, read a book that can open a door for you.   Every little step, every little bit of knowledge counts.  No matter how young or old you are, there is always room for learning.

Sebastian and Joanna are now ready to start their venture.  Sebastian is contemplating which way to start first.  Joanna is watching him with curiosity. "what are you planning to do?", asked Joanna.  "Well", answered Sebastian, "I am thinking that I should try the first method first".  "I need the practice". "So, you want to scare the hell out my sister and my brother in law", replied Joanna.  "Not exactly", said.Sebastian. "I just need to find out what I can do and cannot do with my potentials".  "I need to practice my new skills and see how far it will take me, but I don't really want to scare them, just want to see what I can do with this".  Joanna looked at him and replied, "ok, but I am going to try too, but just remember, we don't want to scare them, "right",
" right", replied, Sebastian.
 Sebastian and Joanna waited for the couple to come in from work.  It was 4:00 p.m., so Sebastian and Joanna decided to take a small trip to the school where they would check out their two kids to see how they were doing after school practice.  James, was practicing  his football techniques, while their daughter was talking and joking with her best friends.  Sebastian and Joanna can now go back and fourth without any problem, they seem to be more at ease with themselves, now that know how to appear and disappear in  different locations, so they mastered that pretty well.  They proudly watched their kids, and wished they could
hug them and kiss them once again, but they both know, that's impossible.  For a while, they both seemed to enjoy sitting on the bleachers watching their kids and all the young children going back and fourth to and from different locations, some  towards the gym, while others towards the football field, others had to go to after school homework class, to complete or return their homework, they so totally forgot or did not complete, late homework.  Sebastian noticed it was getting late, and there were not many students on the  premises anymore, and so he gets up and turns to Joanna.  "Joanna, it's time to go", "we need to go home," he tells her.  Joanna shakes her head as agreeing with him. They both closed their eyes and concentrate on their address, and before they knew it, they open their eyes, and there they were, back in their home in their living room.  They can hear noises in the kitchen and the dining room, and so they slowly move in those areas to see what's happening in the designated areas.  Her sister is now getting ready to make dinner, and her brother in law is helping her with the dishes, some of the dishes need to go in the dishwasher and the pots and pans need to be wash by hand. Sebastian sees this as an opportunity to practice his new skill.  So, he concentrates, on one of the pots on the counter.  He waves his hand and nothing happens, he tries again, but it moves very little, then he tries again, and it moves about an increment, not good.  So, he decides to really get closer to the pot, and tries again, with more force, the pot goes flying across the room, and falls straight to the ground.  George gets  startled and runs from the kitchen to the dining room where his wife is preparing the plates and  silverware, and he looks pale by now. He looks back at the kitchen and looks at his wife.  His wife is too busy to nootice him.  "Oops" Sebastian said.  "that was wild"."I did not mean to do that," "sorry George" Sebastian said, with a very concerned look, but with a smile on his face. George looked at his wife, and tries to get her attention, but his wife is humming up a song, and does not really pay attention to George.  "Honey, Honey, I just saw a pot flying across the room", "I just saw a pot flying through the room", "Stop it George", "you are making me laugh, you must be in a good mood", "just saw a pot flying through the room, pots don't fly, George, pots don't fly","please go get some napkins George, and then I will start bringing in the food", requested his wife as she dismissed everything he was saying. George slowly went back to the kitchen, took a peak to see where the pot was or if it had moved again, but the pot was on the floor and did not move from there.  George was now doubting himself.  Maybe I worked too hard, and I imagined that, he thought to himself. So, he goes to the cupboard and gets the napkins to give to his wife.  Meanwhile, James and his sister comes in from their school and greet their aunt and uncle.  "Hi," said James to his aunt.  "What's for dinner?, asked his sister.  Elizabeth looks at her and tells her to go wash up and then come back to check what's for dinner.  So she goes off and washes up, while George is still trying to make sense of what he saw in the kitchen, but he keeps things to himself, he dare not tells his niece and nephew.  They all sit and have their dinner, and enjoy each others company and they all go to the living room after dinner to watch a movie together.  Everything appears to be normal. Meanwhile Sebastian is now back to the kitchen to try again. "How do I pick-up the pot on the ground?, he asked Joanna, "Well,  the same way you made it move, I suppose?, replied Joanna. So, Sebastian, gets closer and concentrates once again, and waves his arm to the right, and the pot goes across the opposite side with such a force, that everyone from the living room gets up and runs to the kitchen, well the pot is now on the opposite side, and George looks and he is now really startled, and he walks to his reclining chair for awhile and just sits there.  "We have ghost in this house", he says out loud. No one is really listening to him, because they think that it was a weird situations, and what must have happened is that the pot was situated in the wrong place, and it just fell to the ground and rolled to the other side of the room.  So, Elizabeth picks up the pot and placed the pot on the counter, dismisses the incident, and tells everyone, "Let's all go back to the living room and continue watching the movie". so everyone walks back and sit to watch the remainder of the movie.  George is still in shock, and convinced that ghosts are now in the house, but not totally 100%.  He is now a little scare, but he better stay low profile or otherwise, they are going to think he is going nuts. "Time to go to bed," Elizabeth tells everyone, so everyone is tired, and so they all go to their designated bedrooms.  Sebastian was smiling and Joanna was shaking her head, like saying to him, "you sure need a lot of practice, my friend.

Smile

Smile, and the whole world will smile with you.

Once Upon A Time

Sebastian looked everywhere, and then he remembered where he had placed  the item.  He jumped for joy and he smiled at Joanna.  Joanna just stared at him, "what's wrong with you, you act as if you won the lottery", she said, and Sebastian responded by saying, "maybe I did".  "I think I found it", Sabastian said.  "Found what!" replied, Joanna, "I found what I was looking for," answered Sebastian, "it is inside the black safe box". "I can see it now," "ready, Joanna", said Sebastian, "ok", "I am ready, but I don't know what you are talking about nor what you have in that black safe box".  "I hope it's not locked", said Sebastian, "because if it is", "we are doomed!   "Aha!, there it is, my precious black safe box". " I can see it from here," (lt was up on the right hand corner on the top shelf in the closet).  Sebastian tried to pick-up the black box, but to no avail. "Well, there is a disadvantage of being a ghost after all, now what am I going to do,?" said Sebastian. Joanna just shook her head.  "We can try to get the attention of my sister or brother-in-law, that's the only two options we have", said Joanna.  "Right", said Sebastian, "Do you know how hard that's going to be," replied Sebastian.  "We don't have many choices, Sebastian, unless you want to try to catch the attention of our children", "No," replied Sebastian, "I want to surprise our children with it""Then Elizabeth and George will have to be our target, replied Joanna.  "Let's do it", said Sebastian. So, off they go to find the couple in the rooms. "Joanna, you go to the right, and I will go to the left of the hall".  "Call me as soon as you find one of them".  Joanna answered, "ok".  Sebastian looked all throughout the left side of the hall, and Joanna all through the right side of the hall, but no soul  was around. From bedroom to bedroom, first floor, second floor, but no one was home. "Where can they be?", asked Sebastian.  "Have no clue", said Joanna.  "Ok, let's wait for them, eventually they will come home".  So, Sebastian sits on the couch and Joanna sits right next to him. They waited, and waited, and waited.  Soon, the doors open, and there were the two children, coming in the door, laughing and joking with each other. "James, when are you giving up, that girl you like, she doesn't even know you exist", you my brother are wasting your time and energy, and if I were you, I find another girl that really wants you", you know what I mean". Tamara, you don't even know what you are talking about" "she loves me, you haven't seen her how she smiles at me when I walk  right pass her."replied, James. "she's probably glad to get rid of you", answered Tamara. "No, she knows me by my first name, and says hi each time I see her, replied James.  "Right", Tamara, answered, "she says hi to everyone, including her puppy and cat, she happens to be friendly, you are not the only man in this world, "get over it, James", replied Tamara.  "That girl is mine, she is going to be your sister- in- law in the near future, you watch and see,  Tamara, you watch and see" replied James.  "Right", sure, James," answered Tamara with a very doubtful look on her face.  Sebastian looks back at Joanna, and smiles with a devilish smile.  "My boy, that's my boy" Sebastian said. Joanna looks at Sebastian and smiles back, "you know he is still too young, and this will pass too", "he is only a baby attracted to another baby", "I don't worry about that", said Joanna. Suddenly, the door opens again, and it is Elizabeth with her car keys in her hand and purse on the other hand.  "Yes!, said Sebastian, "Yes, "Yes", Yes!", he yelled with excitement,"the homecoming queen is back". "Yeah! he yells, again.  "Ok",  what next, do you have a plan, Sebastian? "No, but I will figure it out one way or another", replied Sebastian. Joanna waited for Sebastian's big master plan, she wanted to know how he was going to pull this one.  Sebastian kept pacing back and fourth in the living, room, and Joanna just kept looking at him.  "Sebastian, what next, genius", said Joanna.  "Wait, I am thinking, I am thinking, don't ruin my concentration, ok". So, Sebastian paced back and fourth again and again, finally he came through with an idea.  "I got it, I got it", he yelled, "I know, I know, now," he said.  "Ok", said Joanna,  "what is your plan?" "We need to talk to Martin, and he can tell us how, he has more experience in this ghost thing".  "I know he would know what to do, so  that we can get to the black box".  "Let's try to concentrate on Martin's name".  "Are you ready, Joanna", but what if it doesn't work, Sebastian, then what", said Joanna, "then we will keep on doing different things, until we can get it down, I am sure he knows of a better way to do this.  His been around more as a ghost than we have.  We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  I am sure he will do it free, he has no use for money and we sure can't get any ourselves.  What do you say, we call him, Joanna?.  "fine, I just hope this is not a big mistake", replied Joanna.  "Concentrate, Concentrate", said Sebastian, "concentrate by calling his name, so he can appear in front of us"  So, Joanna and Sebastian both concentrate and concentrate and nothing happens.  "what the hell, where is this man?, I am sure we are doing the right thing". Sebastian cries out with lots of fraustraton.  "Who knows, said, Joanna, "we might as well just do it ourselves", "No", said Sebastian, let's concentrate again, so they both keep on concentrating, they both close their eyes, and think, "Martin", "Martin", Martin",  Bingo, Martin appears. " Man, we've been calling you for a while, and you are a hard man to get a hold of", said Sebastian. "Yeah", said Joanna, "where in the hell were you?".  Martin replied, "you guys made me come so you can scold me, what's up with that!", "I am going back, see you clowns some other time, I don't need this, I was having some of my own fun in a night club".  There were pretty senoritas dancing the cumbias and salsas in the nightclub called, "La Fiesta".  Nice, then I was totally interruped by a couple that I hardly know, now that's a crying shame, my friends". "I am going back to "La Fiesta, see you guys", "No, wait!", said Sebastian, we need your help. "Oh, now you need my help, when I am having the best night of all nights", "ok, what is it?", said Martin. " You know that we are newly ghosts, right, said Sebastian. "Right", said Martin, and, Martin waited for Sebastian to reply, "and, we need to know how to operate as  ghosts, we need to complete something I left incomplete.  I didn't know I was going to die!" said Sebastian.  Martin laughs, "now  that's funny, do you think I knew I was going to die", replied Martin. " No of course not, I am just saying, said Sebastian, this was so unexpected, can you help us, or not! asked Sebastian.  "ok, what is it you want from me? replied Martin.  "Tell me", said Martin. "Well, said Sebastian "I have this black safe box, and I don't know how to open it, or how to get someone's attention, like my sister- in- law or my brother- in- law, for example.  "Now, you really want to get their attention", replied Martin, "well of course", answered Sebastian, "Now, how do we do that, you tell us,"asked Sebastiaan.  "Well", you have several options, answered Martin,  "So, tell us, what are our options", replied Sebastian.  "You can scare them at night by making all kinds of noises in the home, like opening the kitchen cabinets, by turning on the television unexpectedly, by moving dishes that are on top of the kitchen counter, moving all sorts of items in the closets, and turning on the water in the bathroom and eventually leading them to the closet towards your black box, or they may just leave and never come back," said Martin. "ok", what's the other option, replied Sebastian.  "The other option is that one of them dream of one of you and you can tell he/she what you want them to look for and what to do with the so called, black safe box you have here". "So, it is possible that we can talk to them while they are asleep, asked Sebastian. "Of course it's possible", answered Martin.  "Tell us how to do that, then, said Sebastian. "Well, is not an instant thing you do, it takes practice and patience".  Both of you need to have patience and will need to keep on trying until you get it right". "There is no time limit, after all, you two don't have to worry about time, it does not exist for you anymore".  "So, just have patience, and you will eventually get their attention", said Martin.  "Ok, how do we do this, tell us now, Sebastian urged for an answer. "ok", for the moving of items, you need to focus on the item itself, then use all the energy you have and move your hands towards the item, don't touch!, that will not work, just sway your hands towards the item you wish to move, and keep on focusing on that item, and that is how you move things.  "The next option, you will need to be at their bedside while they are sleeping, but you can only do one person at a time, because the concentration is real intensed". "You must really focus and concentrate".  "While Elizabeth is asleep, you must look into her eyelids and go beyond them, that is the window of dreams", "you can almost see what she is dreaming about," Martin said. How is that?, Sebastian questioned him. "I don't know, it's just happens to be that's what happens, don't question me, just do it, "you asked for help, and now I am helping you", "so stop interrupting me!, answered Martin.  Fine!, Fine! "what next?", asked Sebastian.  "You must keep on trying until you can visually see Elizabeth or George in that dream, and they can see you too, replied Martin.  "Once Elizabeth or George recognize you and calls your name in the dream, then at that moment, you need to give them instructions on what you need them to do and where to find what you are looking for; remember, you will need to explain to them very clearly what you want them to do for you, the dream doesn't come so easy, so try to give as much details as possible, it could be your only chance, there is no telling when the next dream will come, and if they will ever see you, again".  "Ok", I told you all I know, Sebastian, so, now I must go back to my fiesta, see you guys later", and out he goes and disappears like a thin fog in the air before their eyes, they did not have a chance to thank him.  "Well, now we know", said Tamara.  "We have what we need, now the hard stuff, begins"."Yeah", said Sebastian.  "We  can only try."

Once Upon A Time

Sebastian and Joanna exited the classroom, and continued to search for James.  They went through the hallways and through the lockers until they could find James.  James was no where in the classrooms, so they started to look outside the grounds in the school.  There he was on the ground practicing football.  Sebastian had a proud look on his face while looking at him.  Joanna just stared at James and had a big smile on her face.  Sebastian was watching carefully and Joanna began to wonder in other areas, she knew nothing about football, but she did like to see the young girls practicing cheerleading.  She was once a cheerleader herself back in the good all days.  Sebastian could see that James was doing alright as a quarterback, so he was pleased, but now they had to go back to the house they once lived in.  Sebastian goes towards Joanna and tells Joanna that is time to go back home where they once lived.  "There are other things that I must do", said Sebastian.  Joanna said,"what kinds of other things, Sebastian?" "You will see, Joanna", "come lets go back", so Joanna and Sebastian repeated the words again and again to get home, and zoom, they were back home again, looking at their front home once again, and concentrating in the living room, to zoom in.  Sebastian told Joanna that there was a secret that he was holding, and did not tell anyone about it,  Joanna said, "not even me, why?" "I wanted to surprise you, but that would come later in our lives", said, Sebastian.  "Now, I really can't surprise you anymore, it's not worth anything to you or even to me, but the children will benefit from it, you will see?"  "What is it?" "What is it?" Joanna eagerly asked.  "You will see, I will show you, but I have to direct Elizabeth to find it, first, then you will see it"  "Ok, tell me now", said Joanna, "No", said Sebastian "you will see it", and until Elizabeth gets it for me, you will see it too".  So, Joanna was now very curious and kept wondering what it was throughout her mind. Sebastian said, "by the way can we trust your sister?" Joanna thought for moment, "of course, we can", she is my sister", "can we trust her?", Sebastian asked again, Joanna said,"I believe we can, I never heard bad things about her". " I hope you are right", said Sebastian.  "She's my sister, you know",  Sebastian zoomed in his bedroom and started searching for what he was looking for, in and out of dressers and in and out of his closet,"I can't remember where I placed it, but I know it's in my bedroom", he explained.  "If you tell me what you are looking, maybe I can help you look for it", replied Joanna.  "No, No, I must find it, I must find it", said Sebastian.

Once Upon A Time

It was now 6:00 a.m. and both Sebastian and Joanna heard the kids and the adults getting up from bed.
Sebastian sat on the recliner just watching all the action, and Joanna was making observations while standing in the kitchen.  Tamara took off running into the bathroom for the shower.  James was looking for his clothes somewhere in his room, and the adults were getting ready to make breakfast.  Elizabeth's husband George was reading the newspaper, while Elizabeth was making breakfast for the whole family.  Tamara gets out of the bathroom and runs to her bedroom, while James finds his clothes and runs in the bathroom for his shower.  Sebastian was so calm and just taking it all in.  Joanna was pretty much looking from one side to the other and peeking to see what else was going to happen.  Elizabeth was scrambling eggs and making pancakes.  Coffee appeared ready for George.  George, a very passive man, was reading and drinking his coffee while all the running around was going on in the home. Elizabeth didn't mind, because remember she pretty much comes from a different environment, and she had her own kids and had gone through that phase before.  So, she was familiar with all the action, nothing was new to her.  Tamara walks in the dinning room and sits on her chair, all she had to do is eat and enjoy her breakfast. No words were said for awhile.  Then, James comes along all set to go, he sits on the chair and gets ready for his breakfast.  "Tamara, are you almost ready to go","Hey, I am way ahead of you", "are you ready"? asked Tamara.  "Just a few more bites, and I am ready," said James.  So, off they go to school.  Same routine.  Back to School.  Elizabeth, yells, "you guys have a good day, now", and both answered, "See you Aunt Elizabeth, don't forget to pick us up after school".  "Well do", said Aunt Elizabeth.
Sabastian and Joanna followed them to school.  Curious to know how well they are doing, well, now was their chance to find out.  "Let's go to Tamara's first class, and check her out", said Joanna.  Her class appeared to be Home Economics.  Sebastian, said, "boring".  Joanna just looked at him, and said, "hush", Sebastian, said "why", "they can't hear me", "No, hush for me". "I want to hear what the teacher is saying to the students, do it for me, Sebastian".  So, the teacher went on and on and on.  Some students were falling asleep, and others gave up listening a long time ago, and some were looking out the window, hoping to see some thing exciting or something in the sky more interesting.  Finally, the teacher stops, and gives the students an assignment, each of them were given a small cookbook, from that cookbook, the studens had to make a choice, but only one choice to try only one recipe.  One simple recipe.  Tamara, looked through the whole book, browsed through it, and she couldn't make up her mind.  Joanna tried to pin point a recipe for her, but of course that did not work, so, Joanna tried to blow at the page but that did not work, and Tamara turned to page 5,"How to Make Biscuits"," that seemed simple enough", said Tamara.  Joanna looked at Sebastian and said, "ok", "she can do that, it looks simple enough for Tamara".  Sebastian looked at Joanna and said, "so, you really, really think she can cook those biscuits", "Yeah", said, Joanna, "why not". "Tamara never cooked, she doesn't even toast her own bread, let alone, mix and bake some biscuit recipe", replied Sebastian.  "Oh Stop", said Joanna, "you need to give her more credit than that".  "Let's watch her, I am sure she will do just fine". " Ok", said Sebastian," if you say so, Joanna".  So, they both watched Tamara, and Tamara opened her book and started reading the instructions on the recipe.  "Let's see, 2 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/3 cup of shortening and about 3/4 of a cup of milk,"that should be easy enough", said Tamara. So,Tamara gets all of that and pours it inside a big bowl. "There, I am done".  "Now, all I have to do is mix it all together, and bingo!, it's done". "Now, it says to knead it gently on a lightly floured surface, and that looks easy too",Tamara said.  So, she starts kneading the dough and the dough is not quite ready, so she adds more flour, it's sticky, and adds more flour, she doesn't like that it still sticking to the surface.  So, she continues adding flour, then she kneads it again, this time, it didn't stick to the surface, so Tamara had a big smile and a big relief, she did it, all it's done. Now, she needs to form them into a ball, and she loves that part. She makes little ones and big ones, and has a blast doing them.  Joanna looks at Sebastian, "See that's not so bad, I told you so", and Sebastian replies, "it's not over yet".  Tamara continues with her baking, she now needs to get the biscuit cutter to make perfect biscuits.  So, she gets one big ball of dough and cuts it with the biscuit cutter, there of course, is left over dough, and so she sets the left over dough aside and continues with the big ones, one by one.  She tries the same thing with the little ones, but she can't seem to cut those, so she adds left over dough to the little ones, and so she is done, making her biscuits.  Next, she needs to  place them on an ungreased baking sheet 1" apart and bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.  Tamara felt so proud of herself, and so did Joanna, for it was the first time she saw her daughter bake some biscuits. Tamara places her biscuits on the ungreased pan and in the oven.  She goes to talk to her friend while her biscuits are baking. She wanted to know what her friend was baking.  Her friend tells her she is baking a chocolate cake, and Tamara watches her friend as she throws in the ingredients to bake the cake.  Tamara tells her "just throw the whole ingredients in the bowl, you are too slow, just do it".  Her friend explains that she needs to read the bottom instructions, that the instructions are most important.  "The top is only the list of ingredients and the amount you need", Tamara, you need to read the instructions that follows, explained her friend.  "Great!", said Tamara.  "Now you tell me".  Tamara was now hoping that her biscuits in that oven would be golden brown.  Meanwhile, she was helping her friend bake the cake, and was really involved with the ingredients and the mixing.  Joanna was now aware that her biscuits were burning and she tried to get Tamara's attention by blowing in her ear, she pulled her dress, her sweater, she yelled at her, but Joanna was not making progress with that, everything Joanna did was just going right through, and was no use. Sebastian was watching Joanna and laughing while sitting in one of the classroom chairs. Tamara was still talking to her friend.  Tamara, let me do it, it's my project. "This is fun", said Tamara.  "Alright, Alright", here, do your project, said Tamara.  Tamara and the rest of the class started to smell something that was burning, and smoke was coming out from the oven.  Tamara just realized that her biscuits were in that oven.  "Oh my God, "Oh my God", my biscuits, my biscuits yelled Tamara.  She runs to the oven and opens the oven door, there was smoke coming out of the oven and there were her biscuits, they were not golden brown, they were pitch black.  Tamara, just looks at them and started to cry,"my biscuits","my biscuits," "they are all ruined". "Well", said Sebastian, looking at Joanna, "well", what!" answered Joanna.  "I told you that it was not over" replied Sebastain.  Joanna said, "Oh hush, Sebastian, she tried", said Joanna. "My poor baby" cried out Joanna.  The teacher had to open the windows, and dismissed the students.  

Time

Time is precious, spend time with your family, talk to one another, don't let the time pass you by.  Enjoy every moment with your family, you will be glad you did.

Once Upon A Time

Sebastian and Joanna were willing to give it a try one more time.  "Here we go", said Sebastian, "Are you Ready", he asked Joanna.  "Ready or Not", "here we come". "Let's do it, Sebastian". said Joanna.  Both of them closed their eyes, and concentrated on their home address:  "645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, California". Sebastian had his eyes closed, and peaked to see if he was there yet. "No", said Joanna. "Not Yet".  So, they both closed their eyes again, and tried again. "645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, California", Joanna opened her eyes, and  nothing happened, still sitting on that same bench.  "Ok", said Joanna "we are not getting anywhere, we are missing something here, or that so call Martin lied to us and is now laughing at us".  Sebastian, just agreed by knodding his head as of saying "you are right".  So, once again, they sat there quietly for a while.  Then Sebastian had an idea.  "Joanna, listen, I think concentration may not be enough, I think we should try to repeat it once or twice or three times, until we get it right".  "Let's try it, we have nothing to lose".  Joanna said,"if anything it's going to be fun, let's do it".  So Joanna and Sebastian tried it once, and no, nothing happened, then they tried it twice, and nothing happened, "ok", Sebastian this is it, our final try", said Joanna.  "Our final and last try".  Sebastian and  Joanna closed their eyes and concentrated really hard, and repeated the address three times, "645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, CA", "645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, CA", "645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, CA".  They opened their eyes, and there with amazement, was 645 N. San Pablo, Brentwood, CA.  A beautiful white two story house with the black large lettering in front of it with the address 645 "N" San Pablo, Brentwood, CA.  "Wow", said, Joanna, "we are here", "we are here", "California, here we come", "Yeah". Sebastian yelled, Yeah!, "we are home", "we are home again".  Both Sebastian and Joanna looked at each other and remembered they were now ghost and had a quiet moment looking at each other.  Sebastian looked at Joanna and said, "well look at the positive side, we get to see our children and our home".  Joanna, sadly agreed, because she knew that she would not be able to hug them or kiss them or even say hello to them.  She consoled herself, at least by just watching them and going in what was once their home too.  Both gave a big sigh, and started walking towards the house.  As they walked, they noticed the steps they needed to step on, and so they walked one step at a time.  As they got to the door, they tried to open the door with their hands, but each had trouble, it was no longer possible.  So, Joanna thought for a moment, "We must use the same method we did before".  "It's concentration and location".  "let's try it, again, only this time, we need to concentrate on a particular room in the house," explained Joanna. Sebastian, said, "ok, I am for it, let's do it, then". So they did.  Sebastian and Joanna closed their eyes and concentrated for the living room.  "living room", they both said, and before they knew it, they were there.  Sebastian looked at the clock on the fireplace, and he noticed that it was 6:00 p.m. and as they walked in the living room, they saw a boy and a girl, and two adults quietly watching television, and eating popcorn while sitting on the couch. A dog next by the adult lady.  The dog appeared to be a Maltese.  They both got closer to the children, and they recognized James and Tamara, Sebastian got excited and Joanna was thrilled to see them.  Then, they looked at the two adults, and Tamara recognized them right away, "hey, it's my sister and my brother-in-law", "what are they doing here." Sebastian said,"they are probably just visiting the kids". Joanna said, "ok", I buy that". "Look at our beautiful children, Sebastian", "Tamara is such a beautiful girl, she's blonde, she has my blue eyes, and she appears like she is doing alright". "James, is so attentive watching the television, some of that popcorn is not even going to his mouth, it's going all over the couch",  "he is going to ruin my white couch with that greasy popcorn", Joanna said, with a real worried look on her face." "Stop", "Stop" yelled, Joanna.  "Quit", said, Sebastian, "it's useless" "Joanna, remember, we have no use for material things, a reminder, Joanna, "we are ghosts, we are ghosts, and don't you forget that, leave that poor boy alone, he doesn't know we are even here".  None of them can hear us or see us, you are wasting your time yelling at the poor boy, he can't hear you anymore,"explained Sebastian. "Well, in memory of his mother, you would think he would be more careful", said Joanna.  "yeah, sure", said Sebastian.
"ok", what next, Sebastian", asked Joanna.  "Well, we can roam the City of Brentwood, and come back later in the evening" "We can't stay here, just looking and gazing at them", "that for me, would be boring", said Sebastian,"let's roam the City of Brentwood, let's go to the theater and see what's playing, then let's go to the museum nearby, and let's go to the shopping mall, why not, we don't have to pay any entrance fees, we don't need a car for transportation, and  no one is watching us" "We can't buy things, but we can still enjoy seeing the clothes and the merchandise", "well", ok, Joanna said, "why not". "but we are coming back again to our home, right", "of course", said Sebastian.  "I want to be with my kids as much as possible, just like you do", but let's have fun for now".  "I want to roam and see the town," Sebastian said.  Joanna said, "Let's go, stranger".  Off they went into the City of Brentwood.  They loved the town, and had a great time going in and out from various theaters, watching bits and pieces of movies playing and watching the audience faces and expressions, they really enjoyed that.  Some were funny face expressions, while others were serious, while eating their popcorn, depending on the movie they were watching, while others were staring at the screen real hard, it was a crazy experience for the both of them, but they loved every moment of it.  They took off to the museum and loved the art there, and then they went to the shopping mall to check out the new clothes and the electronic devices, and of course the different people that were coming in and out from the shops.  They sat outside for a while to see the nice shops that surrounded the mall, and the nice cars that were parked on the parking lot.  They looked at each other once more, and smiled.  Sebastian said, "it's time now, it's getting late, let's go home now".  Joanna agreed, and they both concentrated on the address and repeated the address three times again, and both of them were standing in front of their house once again.  As they concentrated on the living room, and repeated the living room once, they were instantly there, and so as they roam around,  the living room was empty, so they looked in the bedrooms and noticed that the children were asleep, and as they went down the hall, they noticed another bedroom, and they looked inside the bedroom, and there was the couple fast asleep. The man was snoring loud, but he seemed very comfortable on that bed.  Sebastian and Joanna decided to just tour the rest of the home for good all times and look at the pictures on the wall that were full of memories.

Once Upon A Time

JoAnna and Sebastian discovered that now they were ghosts roaming with the living.  Both were sad, and wished that it were different, but of course there was no turning back.  They would have to adjust being ghosts and of course figure out what to do next, and how to do it.  How do you cope being a ghost?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a ghost, what  can we do and cannot do?  These are some of the questions, that kept coming to them as they walked together side by side. Will they be able to see their kids or their home again?  JoAnna remembered that once she saw a ghost story, and she remembered that one ghost told the other, that all you have to do is think that you are in that general area, and bingo, you would be there.  JoAnna then told Sebastian to try that," but first," she said, "we must both be in agreement to our location, because I don't want to separate myself from you". "Ok", Sebastian, "where do you want to go", asked, JoAnna. " Well", said Sebastian,"I want to go home, how about it?"  "That's what I had in mind", said JoAnna, "Let's try this, and see if it works", said JoAnna. "Remember, think the same location and concentrate", she said.  Sebastian closed his eyes, and started to concentrate, "Home Sweet Home", "Home Sweet Home", "Home Sweet Home", and JoAnna started to close her eyes and said, "I want to go home", "I want to go Home."Sebastian ended up at this business called, "Home Sweet Home Pie Shop", and JoAnna, ended up at her birth place, when she was a little girl.  JoAnna, looked around and founded amusing, but she was confused, and said,"how can that be, "I said, "I want to go home".  Sebastian ended up looking through a glass that had home made pies, nothing like home.  Sebastian said, "No, No, that's not what I am looking for, that is  totally wrong, though the pies look good, but that does not do me any good anymore, so now what do I do", he asked himself. "JoAnna, JoAnna, where are you" he shouted out, but JoAnna was no where near him.  "Darn", said, Sebastian.  JoAnna was looking for Sebastian, but there was no Sebastian at site.  "Ok, what do I do, I need to get back to Sebastian, where do I go from here", "Wow, this is not going to be as easy as I thought it would be"  "Sebastian, where are you, I need you back, this is real scary, being all alone is not a good thing", said JoAnna.  JoAnna remembered that Sebastian was whispering, "Home Sweet Home, Home Sweet Home", so she started to say the same words, "Home Sweet Home, Home Sweet Home", and in an instant, she found herself next to "Home Sweet Home Pie Shop, Sebastian was wondering around, not knowing what to do, then JoAnna spotted him, and called him, "Sebastian, over here", "Sebastian, over here", Sebastian saw her and ran towards her. "Thank God that I found you", said Sebastian, "No, thank God that I found you", said JoAnna.  JoAnna explained to Sebastian what happened to her, and she told him something was not quite right. JoAnna said, "We need to practice some more, something it's not quite right here".  They look around the location they were, and pretty much there were different places and diners where people can go and eat, such as cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and fast food chains.  They both were glad to be together again, and both were dazing at the sky  and  thinking, on how to adjust with their unexpected situation.  Suddenly, a young man appears in front of them, and JoAnna and Sebastian just didn't even acknowledge his appearance, they both thought this one guy was a living human being, and left him alone.  This young man rush to their side, again and again, but Sebastian and JoAnna did not care, they both thought it was a waste of time, talking to him, after all humans can't hear a thing.  However, the young man became persistent and a pest, and kept following them.  JoAnna noticed that he kept walking the same direction as they were walking, and kept trying to catch up with them.  The young man, said, "Hey, you two, stop, I am trying to talk to you, and you guys, just keep on walking. "Just stop for a second, "won't you", both of them appeared surprised, and looked at him.  "Wow, can you see us", asked, Sebastian, "Of course I can", said the young man", "but why", asked Sebastian. "why" the young man repeated the same word, "what does that mean", said the young man", "exactly what I said", said Sebastian.  "Why can you see us, and the others can't?"asked Sebastian again.  JoAnna, said, "Yeah,explain that to us", "Simple", said the young man,"I am a ghost too".  "Oh, I knew that", JoAnna said, with half a smile, she felt like an idiot.  "Ok", so what do you want from us", said Sebastian. "Nothing", said, the ghost, "Let me repeat myself, "I am a Ghost", "Ghost don't need much".  "Ok", then why are you following us?, asked Sebastian. "Well", said the young man, "I saw that both of you are having a hard time coping with this ghost syndrome, so I thought I help you out,  "that is if you want my help".  Sebastian looked at him for a while, and asked him, "why do you want to help us?",  "what's in it for you?", "not much", said the young man, "I just  want to gain points with the man upstairs".  "Do you want my help or not?"  JoAnna looked at the young man and looked at Sebastian for a while.  "Ok", said the young man, "I don't have all day, I'll see you guys later", and he was ready to disappear, when JoAnna, said, "No!, wait, we do need your help" Sebastian turns to JoAnna and says,"You think we can trust him", "Why not", said JoAnna, "we have nothing to lose, we are ghost too", remember!"  "Ok, first things first". said, JoAnna. "How do we travel, how can we go from one place to another place, and get there?", asked JoAnna.  "That's easy", said the young man,  "You just have to close your eyes and concentrate upon the location where you want to travel," "but we did that already, and it did not work", said JoAnna.  JoAnna started to explain how she and Sebastian did it, and the ghosts started to laugh.  "No, you did it all wrong", totally wrong", said the young man.  "You need to concentrate on the location and address where you want to be", "that's how you do it", said the young man.  Next time, try it and you will get there, I promise".  "Well, that's great to know," said, JoAnna,"thanks for the tip".  "By the way, what is your name?  My name is "Martin, just call me Martin".  "Ok", Martin".  "We will see you later", said JoAnna.  "No, said Martin, "you will see me around off and on, off and on" as he would appear and disappear instantaneously at that moment.  Sebastian and JoAnna walked towards the street, and decided to find a nice bench where they could concentrate to get to their location and their address.  Their destination would be their home. 

Once Upon A Time

JoAnna and Sebastian looked at each other and found themselves all alone in the dark there was no one at site. They looked at their mangled car, and there were cars coming and going on the freeway. JoAnna, asks Sebastian, "ok" smart guy", how are we going home?" "No problem, we will get home,"cars everywhere, no taxi, "ok", lets get out of here, let's find an intersection, and walk through the next town ahead of us," "not too far from here". "Come on, let's walk it", Sebastian encouraged her. "ok", "ok", I'm coming, I'm coming" replied JoAnna. They arrived to the town, and started to walk around to check the town out, and everyone was shopping.  It was about 8:00 p.m. and people were going in and out of stores.  Sebastian, turned to this gentleman, and said, "Sir, can you tell me where I can get a taxi?"  The man just walked right by him.  So, Sebastian asked another gentleman, "Sir can you tell me where I can get a taxi?" the man just walked right by him. Sebastian said,"did you see that, this town sure is not friendly, they just walk right by me"," and didn't even acknowledge me", "what's wrong with people nowadays, they are so rude, and so unfriendly", you try and talk to them, and see if you get any response from them, they sure are not listening to me, come on Joanna, you try", "ok", Joanna said, "I will try", " Ma'am can you tell me where I can find a taxi?", the lady walked right past her,"Ma'am, please we need a taxi, just tell us where we can find one, we need to get home, our kids are waiting for us at home".  Again, there was no answer and the lady just kept on walking.  JoAnna tried to get the ladies arm to get the ladies attention, but her hand went right through the ladies arm, and Joanna was shocked, so she tried again, and again, the same thing happen to her.  "Sebastian, Sebastian", "did you see what just happened to me?", No, Sebastian replied, "I am busy trying to get a taxi", "don't distract me right now", "No, Sebastian", "Listen to me".  "Joanna, please, let me get a taxi for us, we need to get home, it's getting late".  "ok, "ok", you see that man by the street corner, go see him, he has a hat on his head", Joanna said, and Sebastian replied, "are you crazy!" "He will slap me around, and we won't get home at that rate", "no way", replied Sebastian. "ok, "ok", then go try to walk that little old lady across the street, she needs help", said Joanna. "ok, I can do that, I am sure she will appreciate my assistance", Sebastian said.  Sebastian goes towards the lady and ask her, "May I help you", the little lady did not respond or even acknowledged Sebastian.  So, Sebastian, just thought to himself, and said, "ok" I will help her anyway".  He reaches out to get the little old ladies arm to guide her across the street, and his hand just goes right through her arm.  The little old ladies ends up walking all alone across the street.  "Sebastian was startled, "No Way," Sebastian said, and Joanna said, "Now, will you listen to me", "we are dead","we are dead!

Once Upon A Time

The next morning, James and Tamara had to resort with all the phone calls that were coming in from relatives on both sides of the family. Funeral plans made from a responsible relative, and different offers from all sorts of family members, but only one couple stood up, that made them decide who to choose to stay with. However, they were not going to let anyone know who that was, until after the funeral, and until everything was pretty much calm down and stable. The aunt they choose was an aunt that almost looked like their mother, the mother's sister, why? because she was the one that seemed to be the most stabled in the group, and she offered to live with them, in the same house prior to their parent's death. She was not taking them away from their home, a home, a life that they were adjusted to and happy at one time. Their Aunt Elizabeth, was ready to take the challenge. However, she did have a husband and he too would have to agree upon the circumstances and the changes made by his wife. That would not be hard, why? because they lived in the bad side of town, and always wanted to live in a good neighborhood. So, Aunt Elizabeth would have to rent her home out, and live with James and Tamara, until they turn 21 years of age. The funeral began, and all was said, there was not much to see, because the bodies were cremated, but there were family pictures and portraits of them at the front, and their favorite songs played and a short family movie of the good times, with their two children as years went by. A few people stood up and talked about the couple, and tears were shed among those that knew the couple well. Time seemed forever for James, and he kept looking at the clock. He wanted to go outside and breath some fresh air, it was too much for him. He had already grieved, and wanted to just go outside and breath fresh air, and see nature as it is, peaceful and a certain silence with birds singing in the background.

Once Upon A Time

The two children walked home, and were both talking about what happened to them during the day, and they both were surprised to hear that each other, for some strange reason were sick at an instance, that was some strange consequence. Tamara went in the home first and James followed her in the home. Tamara went straight to the kitchen and found some left over turkey meat and some lettuce, mayo, mustard and a few coca-colas at hand. Tamara decided to make sandwiches for the both of them. They took the sandwiches to the living room, and started watching television. As they were turning and watching the different channels, they stumbled into the news, and they vaguely hurt the highlights, they heard something about a real bad accident that occurred on the freeway, and that all three drivers were dead, although they did not think that it was their Mom or Dad, because they had gone on separate cars when they left the home, and it was three drivers, so of course it did not phase them at all. So, they turned to the next channel to watch an action movie, the movie was full of adventure and lots of action. They appeared to enjoy the movie and their sandwich, and they were more relaxed. Tamara was falling asleep, and James was still looking at the movie and participating along with it, He was really getting into the movie.
It was around 9:00 p.m. when the doorbell rang, and James looked out the window, and he could see that there was a female police officer and a male police officer, and was curious why in the world they were ringing the doorbell, especially around this time of night. He opened the door and waited for the two officers to say something, The police officers looked at him, and they asked him if there was an adult with them in the home, James, said, "My parents will be back soon, I can call them if you want me too". The officers asked if there was anyone else beside himself in the home, and he said, "My Sister", but she's asleep on the couch right now". "May we come in"asked the male officer, and James said, "May I see your ID first", the officers pulled out their ID, and James let them in the home. James was puzzled, and in his mind, he could not understand why the police officers wanted to come in, and what in the hell was going on, why so secretive, and why he couldn't call his parents. The female officer asked James to please wake up his sister, so James called Tamara, and Tamara is half asleep and half awake, she did not even see the officers there, but as she opened her eyes wider, she could see that something was not quite right, especially with police officers in her living room. "OK", she is awake", James, stated. "Now, can I call my parents". Both the officers, looked at each other, and hesitated there for a while, for they knew this was not going to be easy. The female officer said, "We have bad news."James said, "bad news, what do you mean?", Tamara and I have been good, we haven't done anything wrong, we don't understand", "no", it's not about you and Tamara", "then is it about our neighbors, they can get rowdy at times, but they are good neighbors most of the time". "We know they are good people in our neighborhood", James responded. "No", it's not about your neighbors", the male officer answered. "Then, why the mystery, my parents should be walking through that door, pretty soon, you can tell all of us about what's going on", said, James. The female officer looked at both of them and said, "There was this terrible accident on the freeway" "Oh, Yes, we heard about it on the news, something about three drivers, that was real bad, we just vaguely heard part of the news on that," James said. James sit down, we need to talk said the male officer, "OK", go ahead", said James. "We are listening". The female officer, said, In this accident, three people died, I am sorry to be the one to tell you two, but out of the three, your parents were involved", "No, that's impossible", James said, "You are wrong", my parents took separate cars, there is no way, it was them, sorry, but you must be mistaken", Tamara was in shock, and was just listening to James and the officers argue about the bodies and their identity. James cried out, "it can't be true, no you are wrong, you wait they will be coming any minute through those doors, you see" James was in tears and Tamara started to cry too, "this is not happening, this is not real, it's a nightmare, we are having a nightmare", said, Tamara, they both hugged each other and starting crying, "how can this be", it's not possible", Tamara was in self denial. "The officers just stood there for awhile, then as Tamara calmed down for a few minutes, the female officer held Tamara in her arms. The male officer tried to console James, but James wanted to be left alone, and ran to his bedroom and closed the door behind him, it seemed like his world was all over for him. The officers explained to Tamara, that the possibilities are great, that they would now need to find a relative that would take them in for now because both of them were under age. So, they asked Tamara, about her relatives, and she gave them a few details. The female officers, consoled Tamara the best she could, and asked if there was anything else she could do,
and gave her a contact card, where she could be reached. The officers called one of Tamara's relatives who appeared to be an aunt, and aunt agreed to come over and stay with them over night, until they reach other relatives to take care of matters. Tamara went to her room and cried herself to sleep, and James was still in shock and just stared out the window through the dark and lonely street. He did not go to sleep, he was still hoping for his parents to show up at the door, but it was just a quiet as it was throughout the nite, and no site of his parents, he then realized that mom and dad were not coming home.

Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time, there was this family who was a very close family. A middle class family.
The mother was a Real Estate Agent and the father was an Advertising Agent for a large prestigious company. The mother's name was JoAnna and the father's name was Sebastian. They were blessed with two children, a boy and a girl. James was their 14 year old son and Tamara the 13 year old daughter. Both children are very sharp and very popular in school. This family, a very normal, middle class all American family. Every morning mom would have to rush off to work at another deal outside the city limits, and Dad he had to get to the agency on time for all kinds of negotiations, and creative ideas for the advertising agency.
James and Tamara, well, they would also rush to get to their school early to meet up with their friends in school. The school is a very upper middle class school, football, baseball, swimming,cheerleading, fundraisers for various trips and holiday parties; Halloween, Christmas, etc.Tamara, James and their parents followed the same routine every day.

On weekends, the two siblings would meet up with their friends and go to the movies, arcade, pizza place, or just go out bowling or shopping at the mall. Typical family. The parents would stay in and watch a couple of movies and eat popcorn, and call their friends in between television commercials. Typical family. They were all in tune with one another and happy for the time being.

Monday, comes along, and here we go again, Mom and Dad have some coffee, and rush out the house,
Tamara and James, have a piece of toast and orange juice, and out they go running to the school, the school is not far from where they live. The distance is about 15 minutes away from where they live. Their neighborhood is pretty nice, and the people in the neighborhood know Tamara and James and their parents. A normal day for the family.

JoAnna calls Sebastian and suggests that it's time for both of them to go out and have lunch together. Sebastian tells her, JoAnna, just give me 30 minutes more, and I will meet with you for lunch. JoAnna responded, o.k, 30 minutes and not a minute more, with a happy sound on the other end. Sebastian laughs, and tells her, I will be there.

JoAnna meets her client and shows her the house. Gives her a complete tour of the house,
and gives her all the details of the house. The client seems very interested and asks a lot of questions, and she looks like she is very impressed with the house, however, the client tells her that she will get back with her in a few days, she needs to talk it over with her husband, and her husband needs to come and see the house too. JoAnna smiles and tells the client that she will be waiting for her call, and if she does not call, then she will call her back to remind her of the house and follow-up and set an appointment with her and her husband to see the house, the sooner the better, she says, because this house will sell real quickly, it's a great deal and it's a beautiful home. She says good-bye to the client and the client drives away.
Joann awaits for her husband outside the house, and so she feels that she did very well, and has a good feeling about this client. Meanwhile, her husband drives in the driveway, and smiles at her, and says, hey, are you available,for a date? she smiles, and says, "who's this stranger, this lonely stranger with a nice smile, and bright blue eyes". He smiles, and tells her to get in the car with him. Sebastian, tells her about his meeting at work, and how well things are going, and he is very excited about the this one advertising deal. Joanna, tells him that she might have a client pretty soon, and it may be a very successful transaction, but she needs to follow-up and be persistent with the client. As they are talking, and laughing, Sebastian turns on the radio, and their favorite songs comes on. "You Only Just Begun", They are both quiet as they are listening to this beautiful song. Sebastian and Joann seem very much in love with one another, and they seem to be in their own little world.
Meanwhile Tamara is practicing her cheerleading with the rest of the girls and James is practicing football with the guys out by the field. Both are very intense and want to do well, so they practice for long hours. Suddenly, Tamara feels sick and wants to vomit, and James starts feeling dizzy and starts sweating. They don't understand why they feel like that. Tamara tells the girls, "I will be back, I need to sit down and drink some water, don't feel that hot, may be it's the heat". James, just tells his coach, "hey couch, I will be back, I need to go to the restroom", James goes in there and washes his face with cold water and looks at himself in the mirror, stares for awhile, then goes back to practice. Tamara, she just want to call it a day, and waits for James to finish his practice so she can walk home with James.

Sebastian and JoAnna are listening to more music, and this time, it's rock and roll and they are both moving to the rhythm of the music. They are having a good time, the two of them by themselves in the car, just like it was back then in high school when they were teens themselves. All of the sudden a car is coming fast, and is going the wrong way, Sebastian tries to protect JoAnna and JoAanna tries to protect Sebastian, and they both hold each other, the car comes straight at them and kills them instantly. Only the music is playing, and there is a silence, no more laughter, a dead silence. The driver of the other car is also dead. The ambulance arrives, and takes the bodies away. The attendants just shake their heads, "there is no life in these bodies, all died instantly".

IPHONES AND IPADS

The market is getting so compatible and there are so many gadgets to compare now. Should I get an IPHONE or Should I get and IPAD? That is the question. I love them both, however, I need to take one product at a time, and save my money to buy 1 and then buy the other. I know they are both great products, and I am looking forward to buying them. Like all gadgets nowadays, makes our lives much easier with all the running we all have to do nowadays. Check them out. Well, have a great day and enjoy your weekend. Gorditas

My personal recipe. It's great. When I was a little girl, my mother would give us an economical meal. There were a total of 11 of us, so she had to think of a way to feed us. She had to be creative. The following recipe is one of my favorites, I still use it with my family, and they love it.

Ingredients:
Flour
Water (preferably warm water)
Baking Powder
Salt
Canola Oil or Vegetable Cooking Oil
Margarine or Butter

Supplies:
Roller Pin
A Clean surface to roll your gorditas
A hot griddle to cook your gorditas


You get 2 cups of flour, the more flour, (the more flour you add, you need to increase your dry ingredients. Maybe 1/2 of teaspoon of both if you use more flour)
Mix 1/4 teaspoon of Baking Powder
Mix 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Mix all dry ingredients well.

Then, gradually add your warm water to it
Keep mixing it.

Then once you mix it well, you then start gradually using little amounts of cooking oil,
This will make your flour more flexible to work with, and it won't stick so much on your hands
or roller pin. Remember use a very clean area to work your dough and make your gorditas.
Once, your dough is smooth and does not stick on your hands or on the roller pin.
You are ready to make your gorditas.


You then add a little bit of flour on the surface you plan to roll down your dough., Spread
the flour in the area, where you plan to work with the dough, not too much flour, that's not good. Make your balls of flour the size of a two baseballs, I had to describe it, much easier that way. Now start with your pin by rolling the dough and working it so it is about 6 inches wide all around, and about 1/2 and inch all around, Once you are done, place it on the griddle,
The griddle should be on medium heat. You place your gordita on the griddle, and right away turn it on it's other side, let it cook very well, toast it or brown it, then turn the other side, cook it well, then take it out. You now have your gordita done. Next, you place it on the plate. You cut the gordita by slicing it in little squares but not all the way, just the top, then you add your favorite topping. We use margarine, and spread it on the gordita, then we add refried beans, or we can add chicken or chili con carne, fresh beans with chili sauce, whatever you like. You eat it with a fork and a knife. It is real good. Try it, see if you like it. Do you have a recipe you want to share, please email me. Thank you.

Head Start

When I was younger, I was unaware that there was a program called, Head Start. If I would have known now what I know today, I would have taken steps to register my children in this program. The program is great and it is exactly what it says it is, a head start for your children before they go to kindergarten. It's a preschool program for ages 3 - 5 years old. Qualified teachers and qualified nurses are there to help and educate the child. They have qualified nutritionist to help and balance a healthy diet. It is a free program for low-income families and it is a free program for the child and parent. Parents also get to participate in the program and help in the classroom. It's a great program, a win win situation. Head Start Preschool is a great program. Check the program in your part of the woods, and find out if you have a Head Start Program. You will be glad you did. The children go to school for 3.5 hours, and they have a morning session and an afternoon session, some have a full time session for parents that work or go to school all day. Health News

I know and you know that eating a healthy balanced diet is very important. We know that, but do we do it, no, we try, but then we go back to our old habits, I know I do, and then I just keep on trying. Exercise, we supposed to do them too, and we try, and we try, and they say you can exercise for 20 minutes a day, and that will keep your weight at a stable level, maintained. You won't lose but you won't gain. I say 1 hour a day can make a difference, just make sure you do the adequate and appropriate exercises for your age and your health, ask your doctor. Anyway, there are a few things to remember to eat. For instance, the following can help all of us one way or the other: Example: Tomatoes, Flaxseed, Kale, Salmon, Cranberry Juice, Greek Yogurt and Walnuts. Check them out. They are very beneficial for your health.

A funny thing happen to me

It is 10:00 a.m. and I answered the switchboard at work, "Good Morning", May I help you, the response I get is "Good Afternoon", I wish to speak to ... "o.k. whatever you say", I think to myself.

Then, the next call comes in, "Good Morning", may I help you, I would like to get the number to and she gives me the name of a location, so I give that person the phone number, and she does not quite get the number, I give her the number, and she repeats the number incorrectly, I give her the number again, and she still gets it wrong, I give her the number again, then she tells me, "just a moment, let me get a pen and some paper", so I wait for the lady for about two minutes, so she can get a pen and some paper. You know that as an employee, you must have patience by now. Wow! that was not easy for me.

The Immigrants #4

Grandpa was not aware of the things that were happening between the daughters and the stepmother. The stepmother would get very angry when her flour tortillas were missing.
One day, great grandpa got on his white horse and traveled to go see his son and his family. He saw that his son needed some help with his daughters, so he decided to help with one of them, and that was the five year old, my mother, the middle child. He took her and placed her on his horse, and away they went to his home and his family. Grandpa favored my mother and adviced everyone in the household to guard her and watch over her, but there shall be no spanking or harsh words to that little girl or else, they would face the consequences from him. My mother was not a mischevious young lady, she was pretty much curious about things and how they worked. She spent her days watching and doing housework, and learning from all those people in the household. One day, she was told to watch the chickens, and to bring all the eggs. So, she went to where the chickens were and there the eggs were, lots of eggs. Her curiousity was how did the chickens lay eggs, she thought the eggs came from the chicken's peak, so she waited to see and watched for a while until she could see results, to her surprise, it came from the other end. Grandpa went home knowing that he had to tell his three little girls that
Grandma went to heaven and was not going to come back. It was the hardest thing he ever had to do in his life.

He had to work, and he would give his little girls monies to go out there and buy some groceries to eat, but the little girls were too small, and instead would buy candy and other items that were not considered a balanced meal. So, one day he told his little girls that he would have to find a lady that would take care of them and watch over them, because they were in need of a lady to watch over them. So he did. He married this lady who was previously married and was divorced. The lady had a daughter and she was older than his daughters. At first it was not so bad, but as time went by
the results and her (the lady) personality started to come out, and it was not a good thing. The little girls were not happy with this lady. The lady would physically hurt them, and made them do other things that were not appropriate for them to do, while her daughter was living a prince kind of life in there. She treated the girls like orphans and verbally abused them, and made them do chores that were not appropriate for their age. Grandpa had no idea what was going on. The lady would hide the flour tortillas from them, and the little girls were always hungry, and couldn't find them. One day, the two little girls came from school and they wanted to eat some thing, and so they both went on a search at home,
they looked everywhere for the flour tortillas, and they found them, they were in a box under the bed. The box had a key latch, but there was a
small crack where you can fit a small hand, and my mother who was the middle child, suggested to the smaller child to place her little hand inside the box and try to reach down to get the flour tortillas, which she did. She was successful. She took one flour tortilla for her and one for my mother, they were in heaven, they ate their tortilla and that satisfied their hunger. However, when stepmother arrived, and she was ready to give everyone dinner, she counted the flour tortillas and found out that there was a couple of flour tortillas missing, she was very upset.

The Immigrants

My grandmother ended in the hospital. When she died, there was no way to communicate the information to my grandfather. He walked a long way to get to the hospital. He had no horse and no way to get there. So, he walked for miles to get there. When he arrived to the hospital, he was told that grandma was dead and so was her baby that was inside her wound. The bed was empty and there was no body on it. Grandpa left very sad, and grieved his own way on his way back home to the small straw hut. Later, it was discovered that my grandma's body was dumped in a hole with the rest of the dead bodies afer she had passed away. It was discovered that the baby lived, and that one of the nurses there decided to keep it and took the baby home with her.

Immigrants #2

My mother had two other sisters, One was 8 years old and the other one was three years old.
My grandmother died of scorpion bite. My grandfather and grandmother lived in a very poor straw home, and grandmother was working in it, and got bitten. Grandfather thought it was no serious bite, so he ignored her request to take her to the hospital. Meanwhile grandma got all swollen and so did her baby inside the womb. When grandfather realized it was really serious he called the ambulance and they took her away to the hospital, but by then it was already too late.

The Immigrants

The story begins - My parents were born in Mexico, my brother and I were also born in Mexico.
My mother was about 5 years old when she lost her mother, my father was born in a family of twelve and they were very poor. My mother had to struggle at 5 years old to find a stable life in the City of Mexico at age 5. She finds herself going from one relative to another to survive, and that was not easy. Her mother died and there was only her father who was very humble and very poor. I will tell you later what her mother died of. But now, I must go to work. Have a great day.

Time Out

Have you ever had a bad day, I had one today, However, I see it as an experience, and learned from it. It can, get rough, it did for me today. Life must go on, and so I continue biting the bullet, In life you have different circumstances, but yes, we need to cope with each one, and remember that we are not alone on this world. Others are also experiencing difficulties, and may be greater than ours. You don't compare yourself with others, rather you learn from your mistakes, and keep on learning throughout your journey in life. My mistakes, what, also, you learn by making observations on others that can make a mistake too, and learn from them too.
My thought for today. Well, you have a good night, and hope your day becomes as bright and better the following days to come. May God Bless You.

Clothes

When you buy clothes, make sure the clothes are versatile. By that I mean, if you can think of what you have in your closet now, and you match that blouse, those jeans, that skirt with the new one you are buying, then you are a smart shopper, that's how you build up your wardrobe. Use colors you like, but match with your old clothes, so you can look like you have a large wardrobe. The same way, with jewelry, match the colors so you can wear it more than once through out the week. I use blue, silver, black, red, white. tan, these colors are very versatile. You can wear almost any color blouses, and still look like you have a large wardrobe. Take it from me, that's the way to go. Shoes, white, tan, blue, silver black, and red. Every Friday is a good Friday for me. Of course everyone who works outside the home, Fridays are welcome. However, we all know that Saturday and Sunday is around the corner. Choices, Choices, now we have to make them, do we want to work, or do we want to go shopping, or go out of town, or just stay home and chill with our families. You choose. Interviews

We all must work. Going to college is a plus and getting skills on the side while going to college is a super plus, being bilingual in a language is also a super super plus, why, the chances are greater and you are among those who are fortunate and blessed to get the above.
The chances are greater to find a job. Have you ever been on an interview for a job, you must dress appropriately for interviews. No jeans, no casual blouses, no shorts, dress up like you already have the job, nice clothes, be semi-conservative for that day. Hair should be neatly combed, no hairstyles that look wild. Smile and answer the questions as they come, but look at the person who is asking them, don't let your eyes travel all over the place. Answer direct and short, find out about the company way before you go to the interview, that's impressive, it helps when they ask you, what do you know about this company? Why do you want to work for us?
Are you dependable? What can you do for us? Don't ask about the salary, let them tell you.
Don't bring relatives with you when you come in for an interview. At the end, Thank them for their time with you. Smile, and say goodbye. I am sure if they want you, they will call you.

Next, about a week, follow-up with Human Resources if they have one, or with the Secretary if its a private firm. Let them know you are still available and very interested, and want to know what the status is on the position you applied and interviewed.Keep on looking for a job
until you find one, don't wait for previous jobs you interviewed and/or applied, just keep on going. Those that want you, they will call you, just make sure your cell phones are on at all times, or your phone is working and your voice mail is working so they can leave a message for you. Cancer

I have a personal reason for asking if everyone could put this as their status for 1 hour. I'm pretty sure I know the names of those who will. Think of someone you know who has or has had cancer, or someone you lost from cancer. My prayer is that in 2011 they will find a cure. Will you post this for one hour in honour of those Who have fought or are fighting cancer?

On behalf of my new friend per her request, and my old friends that have passed away, what I mean by that, I knew them for a long time, for they died young, younger than I, and are no longer with me. On behalf of the beautiful people I have not met, but died of Cancer. Lets find a cure, and allow those that are knowledgeable to have a heart and help us cure the deadly disease.

Vacation Time

Vacation time for those that can enjoy a well deserved vacation. Whether you saved your money or can afford to go on vacation, it is still very well deserved. Most all of us work outside the home, and we need time to chill and just enjoy what the world has to offer. This year, I was unable to go anywhere, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed just relaxing at home and spending time with my loved ones. However, it is always exciting when you can go outside your norm and adventure a little. The Royal Carribean may have a great deal right now, check it out. Australia Anyone?

Italy - Rome - Venice - Florence - Great places to go and also appreciate. Food is great, I hear, and it is a sure way to relax and enjoy the scenery. July through September.

Spain - A beautiful place to be. Would love to travel all of Europe to see the beautiful homes, the architect, the castles, churches and to walk and learn from the people. Would love to see the open fields, the land, mountains, shops, the buildings, the flowers. My life dream. Vacation anyone? If you go, have fun for the both of us. Have a great day.
